  1. Hope I’m not “coming out of the blue” since it is a month old discussion, but I have to go with Vertigo. One of the most popular, it is so for a good reason. Wonderful film with multilayered structure

    Vertigo. Who could blame Jimmy Stewart for obsessing over Kim Novak? Plus, Hitch had to devise a second ending to get past the censors….couldn’t have the villain get away with it in the 1950s!

  7. I love all of Hitchcock’s films up to and including “The Birds.” My absolute favorite is “Rear Window” (my #3 all-time favorite film), followed by “North By Northwest” and “Vertigo.” I just saw “Lifeboat” for the first time a couple weeks ago.
