About emmakwall

meHello, I’m Emma – I live in England and I’m 33 years old (I hate updating that each year).

I started this blog mainly for an excuse to write. I’ve always enjoyed writing but as you can appreciate it’s easy to let hobbies slip away as you get older, start working full time and taking responsibility for your own ironing. Though that is stretching the truth a little – I probably iron about seven times a year. I’m just lazy and enjoy watching The Chase too much.

10But as well as laying on the sofa watching quiz shows, I love watching (and talking about) movies – as well as soundtracks, books and TV shows – but I don’t like taking things too seriously and enjoy injecting some fun and humour (or a vague representation at least) into my posts. So please, take a look around and hopefully you’ll find at least one thing you can stomach – though I make no guarantees on either the substance or the intelligence you will find here.

And yes I did nick part of my blog name from  the classic 90s kids TV show Clarissa Explains it All – I don’t really think I know everything. Just SOME things, like the most important things, like which crisp flavour is really the Ultimate Flavour?

  4. Hey Emma,
I’m a terrible blogging friend! It JUST occured to me “Gee. I’m not getting any of Emma’s posts, and she’s always visiting me. Huh?” Well, somehow I had your posts/comments turned off in my setting. (Banging head against wall right now) I didn’t want you to think I was ignoring you.

Thanks for the nomination! Keep up the good work!

You have a great point on how being snobbish is unnecessarily. The only time that I see it appropriate is when it is obvious a mainstream movie is trying to steal our money (Transformers 4). Otherwise, it annoys me when critics destroy an independent film. Or a mainstream film that honestly tries and scores the affection of audiences…

Thanks very much! And you’re very welcome 🙂

Yes I do agree with you. I know EXACTLY what you mean about Transformers 4! And sometimes movies (like Transformers 4) are only gratuitous and nothing else – they have nothing positive about them. That’s not so good.

I don’t really listen to critics too much, I prefer user reviews on IMDB! 🙂

Keep up the good work too!
