I got this (exact) idea from my fellow blogger Darren who today released a post of five classic movies he’s not yet watched (read his his post here). I thought it was such a cool idea I decided to list ten films and whilst you’re scrolling through likely feeling aghast, confused (and possibly appalled) I just want you to remember that I have seen every Human Centipede movie.
And the Hey Arnold movie.
Twice.
10. Raging Bull
9. ANY James Bond film (the whole way through)
8. Interstellar
7. Back to the Future Part III
6. Frozen
5. The Dark Knight Rises
4. Vertigo
3. Apocalypse Now
2. Suspiria
1. Star Wars (Episode IV: A New Hope)
Yes. Really.
Ha! Love this. No sweat, I haven’t seen Interstellar either.

Thanks Susan!!! 🙂
I doubt I’ll ever watch it lol!

It’s coming sometime soon with my Netflix but I’m sure when it arrives I’ll pass over it for several days before returning it unwatched. That happens sometimes!
Sometimes people get VERY upset if I refuse to watch a tv show but I just do not care!! More power to us.

Phew, I’m not alone! There’s only 1 or 2 on your list that I’ve seen! I’ve been working my way through Star Wars in Episode order (to the horror of the hard core fans) and I’m watching A New Hope this weekend 🙂

Thanks for your comment Allie! I thought this was such a great idea when I saw it on Darren’s blog and I’m certainly a philistine!!!!
Let me know what you think of the New Hope movie please!! I guess I should sit down and watch them one day 🙂

The fact you’ve not seen Star Wars Ep IV bothers me greatly. It’s an essential rites-of-passage viewing for ALL kids. Did you sleep through your youth? 😛 Seriously, you must rectify this ASAP. 🙂
Same for Bond films, you must see at least one – I’d say either a Connery or a Craig.
This will prove unpopular but I hated Suspiria so you can give that one a miss. 😛

Sorry but I’m just not interested in Star Wars 🙂 I’m sure there’s movies I love that other people don’t.
I’ll watch a Daniel Craig Bond film one day 🙂
Suspiria is probably the only one I do actually want to watch lol. Sorry!!!!!! 🙂
Thanks for your comment!!!

You have to see Apocalypse Now! Em! Cinematic Brilliance…………..Sheen and Brando are incredible. See the original, not the Redux…….not needed extra footage! Coppolla got it so right the first time. The last hour of this film are just unforgettable. The rest is brilliant!
The horror……….The horror!

Haha, thanks Ronald!! I will try 🙂 I know it’s a spectacular movie but pretty grim. I know the “napalm in the morning” line….!
I bet Sheen is brilliant 🙂 where would it lay in your top favourite movies?

Gee Em, that’s a tough one………Top favourite movies……..um…….it’s definitely one of the great War films! But is it a War film?
There is a war going on (Vietnam) around the main characters, but it’s about the Americans sending their best military assassin (Sheen) to kill a renegade Colonel (Brando) who has started his own Army deep in the Vietnam jungle.
The Cinematography, Acting and Direction are just spot on! Robert Duvall was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for about 5 minutes of screen time!
A wonderful piece of cinema magic!
Great line – “I never said a word to my wife until I said yes to a divorce!” Said by an on furlough Sheen, who only wanted to get back to the jungle and be on another mission!
Further to this……..there is a documentary on the making of this film, called, “Heart of Darkness”, which is right up there as one of the great documentaries of all time!
Laurence Fishburne was 17 and has a sizeable role. Other cast members, Harrison Ford (blink and you’ll miss him), Dennis Hopper (mad as), Frederic Forrest (outstanding) and Scott Glenn (sneeze and you’ll miss him)!
Phew!

Hahahaha, love this post Em! Some shockers here, but we have all not seen certain movies.
You watched them all?! I refuse to watch even one! OUCH!

Haha, thanks Zoe!!!! I know, I was hoping to ruffle some feathers lol. Yeah I’ve seen all of them. And don’t forget about the Hey Arnold movie! Twice! Ha ha ha 🙂
I definitely want to watch Suspiria soon.

Everything up there is forgivable (except for numbers one and ten) But my favorite is that The Dark Knight Rises poster says “Unmissable”… Classic. Still I haven’t seen numbers two or seven. And everything else up there is either long, boring or “popular” because of one scene or a previous movie. But there are two works of art on your list. Akin to having never seen a picture of the Eiffel Tower or the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Because at some point in everyone’s life, a loved one or teacher sits them down and shows it to them saying, “This is something that human beings made.”
…
“I know. right?”

I know right!!!! I was so hoping someone would notice that on the poster lol. I was going to draw a circle round it but didn’t have time in the end before posting ha ha 🙂
I knew Star Wars would upset people the most, that’s why I saved it until last! I’d like to see Suspiria the most I think but only cos I’m a big horror fan 🙂
And I’ve been up the Eiffel Tower and I’ve been inside the Sistine Chapel too! We weren’t allowed to take photos but I sneaked one of the ceiling anyway 🙂 it was a strange atmosphere in there, you’re not even allowed to talk, but it was spectacular!

Great post. Funny intro too. And hey I’m not the only one that hasn’t seen Frozen. Let’s continue not seeing it together 😉 Surprised about Star Wars though. ‘Natch. I’d love to read your review of new Force Awakens from a fresh (unique?) point of view. That’d be really interesting! I bet you’d make a clever headline for it too.

And that intro is all true! “hey football head” Thanks Dan 🙂
Yeah that’s a good idea actually! I literally have no clue about Star Wars really so would be an interesting review. I guess it’s possible I could watch it and love it!
I HATE Frozen and I’ve never seen it. And somehow I still know all the words to that effing song as well!

Hahah. I hope you DO review the new Star Wars… love it or hate it. And that Frozen comment is hilarious. I guess I hate it too then. I’d say “let it go” but that might make the song play in your head— Dur.

I watched The Little Mermaid on TV yesterday and cried for the millionth time. AND sung along to allthe songs. The whoel time saying “they don’t make them like this anymore!” I don’t know, Frozen just seems so charmless compares to the old movies. But I’ve never seen it I guess!!!!! 🙂

the older Disney flicks had a certain charm… i know for me it has do with the hand drawn animation and appreciating that artform… plus i think nostalgia might have something to do with enjoying those Disney classics, right 😉

Ooo, that’s some iconic movies you’ve not gotten around to. Yet, of course ;). I’ve never seen any classic Bond movie either, only the new Daniel Craig movies. And yep… I’ve seen all Human Centipede movies too. Is that something we should admit? :p.
And just because, you know, blog love and everything… I’m going to be honest.
I love Frozen.

Haha, that’s cool!!! I do love The Little Mermaid and STILL cry at the last scene and song so I understand 🙂
We definitely need to admit to watching HC movies, yes! People are reliant on movie viewers like us, we watch all the stuff they want to know about, but can’t stomach watching 🙂
I will watch a Daniel Craig Bond movie soon, hear they are excellent 🙂
Thanks Morgan!

And I still managed to miss it. It just took good planning, and not going to watch it. That helped.
