Worst Sequel

We have always looked at the best, but now lets look at one subject people always talk about quality of sequels and just how bad some really are. I have picked this subject and I expect to see many different interpenetration of what makes a sequel bad.

Rob and myself are running a Stephen King blogathon through October so I think it would only b right for us to have our own Opinion Battle on Stephen King works, if you want to join in email moviereviews101@yahoo.co.uk by 4th October 2015 with your picks.

Saw 6saw 6

I personally am picking a film that shattered what was created by the previous film, I am not saying this is the worst film ever I just feel this film doesn’t do the previous instalments the credit they deserve. I am a fan of the idea behind…

  1. BunKaryudo says:

    Sorry Emma, I haven’t actually watched your film, so I’m afraid I voted for Cars 2, which I was forced to sit through with my younger son one time. (One time was more than enough, believe me.)

  2. vinnieh says:

    How you doing Emma? Feel like I haven’t heard from you in ages.

  3. Jordan Dodd says:

    I am listening to you right now on the Vern’s podcast! 😀 Its funny, I didn’t know what you sounded like! Man I’d love to be on a podcast!

  4. vinnieh says:

    Sorry for being so late to commenting, just had a few things on.

  5. I think I’d pick the Poltergeist sequels and Amityville Horror. Shudder.😕
    #besties

  6. The Godfather – PART 3;
    All the post Dirty Harry-Magnum Force films;
    Never Say Never Again;
    The Timothy Dalton Bond Films (badly dated);
    The Roger Moore Bond films (at least the other guys got their hair messed up);
    Star Wars 4 ? – the one with Ewan McGregor;
    2010 – The Year We Make Contact (God help us);
    The Pink Panther sequels (Why ruin a bad thing?);
    Mad Max – Beyond Thunderdome (Sorry Tina, you were terrible);
    The Return of the Seven & The Magnificent Seven Ride!;
    Hellraiser 2, 3,,,,,,,were there others? God, I hope not!
    Day of the Dead – I think at one point they were eating somebody from the feet up!!;
    The Halloween sequels – (although Halloween 3 was quite good, even though it had nothing to do with the previous films – go figger;
    Friday the Thirteenth – all of them;
    A Nightmare On Elm Street – all of them.

    And I continue to ask myself, why? Why? Why? Some of them are so bad, that you begin to hate the originals!

  7. beetleypete says:

    I quite liked Terminator 3, and I have not seen any of the others, so didn’t vote this time. My own vote would probably go to any ‘Jaws’ film that followed the original. Pointless, and just bad!
    Best wishes, Pete.

Any thoughts?
