I make no guarantees on the substance or the intelligence you will find here. But great to see you anyway!
So as well as laying on the sofa watching quiz shows, I really like films – and talking about films – and listening to film soundtracks. Horror is my favourite genre.
I don’t like taking things too seriously and enjoy injecting some fun and humour (or a vague representation at least) into my posts. So take a look around and hopefully you’ll find at least one thing you can stomach.
And yes I did nick part of my blog name from the classic 90s kids TV show Clarissa Explains it All – I don’t really think I know everything. Just SOME things, like the most important things, like which crisp flavour is really the Ultimate Flavour?

Knock yourself bandy! I’m not even sure that means but I love it! Ha ha ha.
I’m still struggling to think of a film if I’m honest. So not much progress so far ha!
I have a couple of ideas but no ‘eureka’ moment yet. How’s yours coming along? 🙂 really looking forward to it all kicking off!

It just means knock yourself out, go crazy, that sorta thing, my Dad says it! I’ve got one in mind but I’ve never seen it so I’ll have to sit through it first but it has potential! So excited for my first shitfest, gunna be a blast

I’m so excited for your first Shitfest!!! I bet it’ll be wonderful 🙂
It’s so hard thinking of a film, I struggle!!!
“knock yourself bandy!” love it 🙂

Ahh I’m starting to overthink it a bit, so many bad options! I feel your pain!

I don’t have enough options!!! Thing is, I know there’s tons of shit movies, but I only really want to write up something that I SHOULD have enjoyed or that a lot of other people like. Does that make sense? It’s easy to bad mouth some old B movie or schmaltzy crap, I actually want to slag off something that SHOULD have been amazing. I’m way too OCD 🙂
P.S Would you be interested in being a guest on a pod cast at all? Talking about blogging?

I know exactly what you mean and am in the same boat!! Sounds interesting, are you starting a podcast?

I’m glad it’s not just me!!!!! I did Green Street last time which is legitimately a film I should enjoy (I enjoy British thug movies – sue me!) but it was so ridiculous and inaccurate (and full of weird accents) I enjoyed slating it for Shitfest! Now I just need something similar!! I think I’m too kind sometimes lol.
Do you follow The Vern’s Video Vortex? We’re hopefully starting a podcast later this month, looking for interesting bloggers to do guest spots – meaning you!! If you’re interested just let me know, no pressure either way and whenever would suit. Thanks!

Yeah I read your post actually, very good, and also fair, it did suck! Yeah I sure do, now that you mention it this does ring a bell! I am interested but probably won’t be able to do anything until July

Oh wow, thanks! That was nice of you 🙂 Yeah it sucked big time!!!!! A hobbit. Honestly!
Great! Well whenever James honestly, no pressure (I hate being under pressure myself) July would be good! We’ll keep each other posted 🙂

Ooh and I forgot to mention John Williams – Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Superman, Jaws…I could go on for days!

ooo im excited to listen to some more film track composers to adorn my newly found love of iPhone filming 😀
Putting potato’s and leopard print next to one another, is just genius, and the fact that they are amongst your favourite things, well Emma, that’s brilliant
What’s your favourite way to cook those spuds? Personally I just love a good old baked potato

Fantastic! I can sense a beautiful partnership blossoming! We can be the iphone film crew 🙂 you can be camera lady and director, I’ll be in charge of the music. Haha!
I was literally thinking ‘what do I love?’ and I thought…potatoes. And leopard print. Hahahaha!
Can’t beat a good old baked potato (tell me – butter, cheese, sour cream?) but I have a huge weakness for mashed potatoes. It started when I was a kid and just never really left! I could eat a bowl of mash and nothing else and be content as anything 🙂
Thanks so much for your brilliant comment Jessie! You’re brilliant!!!!

Oh man, mash yeah… Once i got so into making mash i got one of those sieve things to push it through like the chefs do, velvet mash it was…
Lets collaborate and make a film called just that – velvet mash!
🙂
LikeLiked by 1 person
Lets collaborate? ER YES a million times over!!!!!!!!!!!! Velvet Mash! I love it!! And we can only eat mash the whole time we’re making it? Variations are allowed, so we could have like, normal mash, sweet potato mash, scooping the innards out of a baked potato mashing it up and then putting it back again (best of both worlds with the mash and the baked!)
Aaaand I’d even eat Smash. I’d be up for it all.
AND…….the finale………..your sieve to push it through and make the most amazing, creamy, velvety mash!
“Velvet Mash” <—— I bloody ❤ this!!!!!!!!!!!

Start filming your potato endevours Emma, as will I, and, we shall mix them like dj film stars with an interval of streaming silk in the wind
I can see it already, this will be grand , also the fly has been founded at my local video store, along with a $56 late fees , haven’t been in so long to hire a video, dont worry to hire ‘the fly’ didnt cost all that, I just did a shocked face ( hopefully as good as when the guy morphs into fly hybrid) and then a ‘pity me, for i am broke’ face. All in all, i got the movie…

Hey Jessie! So sorry I took an age to reply, I’ve not really been online since last Friday. I missed you!!!!! How are you my dear?
Oh great idea! So we’ll basically do a MASH-up then will we?! (see what I did there!!) the interval sounds interesting too 🙂 streaming silk in the wind! What colour? I have red in mind?! Mmmmm potatoes.
Made me laugh so much – $56 late fees, I hope I haven’t screwed you over!! Have you watched it yet?! And I would love to see this ‘pity me, for I am broke’ face. I’m imagining the little Puss in Boots from Shrek?!
$56 dollars late fees!!! 😀 😀 😀 xxxx

It’s refreshing really, to be able to express emotions and feelings non-verbally. Sadly, I feel my ability to express emotions verbally or non-verbally is terribly handicapped 😛
