Valentine’s Day – 10 of my Favourite Love Songs
Ah, Valentine’s Day, the 14th of February. What year? Every year. A date to bring fear, excitement, hope and bitterness into the hearts of singletons and non-remarkable nonchalance / smugness / unnecessary debt for those bastards in loving relationships.
Here’s 10 of my favourite love songs to help celebrate the happy day –
In no particular order:
2. Sam Cooke – Nothing Can Change This Love
3. The Beach Boys – Don’t Worry Baby
4. Bryan Ferry – I Love How You Love Me
9. The Four Tops – Sugar Pie Honey Bunch
A little slow on catching up on my blog reading. 🙂
I love every song you put on there!
Thank you Paul!!!! How are you doing?
I’m doing the best I’ve been in years! Are you doing well?
That’s really great. I’m genuinely so pleased to hear that I really am 🙂 I’m good too!
What a lovely collection of songs. This is belated but I hope you had a good Valentine’s Day.
I’ve never heard of Yazoo, though I have heard of the song, so thanks for that! 🙂
You’re welcome Geoff! Do you like the song? 🙂
Yeah, the song is great though I guess I just forgot about it over the years.
I know what you mean, I love discovering things again, things I forgot about! From songs to old cartoons 🙂
Excellent choices Emma.
Thanks so much Lloyd!
A nice mix of songs!
Thanks John! 🙂
Nice job with the playlist.
Thank you so much John!
Nice selection, Em
I would include ‘Sweet Love’ by Anita Baker, and of course ‘Like A Star’, by Corinne Bailey Rae.
Hope you have a suitably romantic day, honey.
As ever, Pete. XXX
Hope YOU had a suitably romantic day!! xxx
We exchanged cards, and went out for a meal. About as romantic as it gets, after 18 years.
