Nice picks. If I had to choose I would pick Space Balls.
Plains, Trains and Automobiles is amazing!! So funny even after all these years!
SO AGREE!!! It really cracks me up, certain scenes still have me crying with laughter! Mainly John Candy I must say 🙂 though both actors are perfectly cast.
Not one of my favorite years for films. But, Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket was memorable. Memorable, also, but not in a good way was a classic Brit film (sorry, Em!)– Hope and Glory. Least favorite film = Untouchables. What a waste of DeNIro!
I’ve never seen Hope and Glory but you know I’ll be looking it up now! Nice choice with Full Metal Jacket 🙂 the only other film I might have picked would be Creepshow 2 but Planes, Trains seemed fitting 🙂
And then there’s the classic anti-feminist film, Fatal Attraction. Glenn Close was so sweet and likeable in The Natural. What happened?
I went with Full Metal Jacket. The Drill Sergeant is a legend.
As ever, Pete. XXX
Great choice Pete 🙂 xxx
I wonder what John Candy would be doing today.
Hopefully SCTV remakes.
That’s a great question. He still cheers me up now. I love people who don’t take life too seriously!
