The films are usually designed to be a series from a set of books. So what is the most popular Young Adult film?

If you want to take part in Opinion Battles we will be looking at Worst Remake, the closing date for choices will be Sunday 3rd April 2016 you can send you choice to moviereviews101@yahoo.co.uk

  1. I guess for me, Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back. I was young back then and it totally blew everything else out of the water. Is it young adult? I’d say yes, but you may disagree!

I don’t disagree! It’s hard to classify what is Young Adult anyway, not everyone will have the same (objective!) views. I like your choice 🙂 would you even want to join in with an Opinion Battle?

  2. Hi, I’m writing about every song that ever became a #1 hit, backwards chronologically, in the journey that is the Every Number One blog. I would really appreciate if you took a look around.

Not being much of a movie-goer, I first had to ponder what defines ‘young adult movies”.
Is there an equivalent “Old adult movies” sort of like ‘granny-china”?

It think it’s just in a similar vein to Young Adult books, so think along the lines of Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Stand By Me etc. movies about young people for young people 🙂

Old adult movies and granny china could bring up VERY different search results!!!! Ooh matron.

  4. Argh! Why oh why don’t my tablets like Darren’s site? I made it to Kim’s choice of City of Embers choice and then my iPad crashed. Anyway, I thought Darren’s pick of Odd Thomas (I love that movie and the books) was interesting because I hadn’t thought of it as YA. My pick would be Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Matthew Nroderick was simply brilliant! Runners up: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Outsiders, Wargames (“Do. You. Want. To.Play. A.Game”) and The Breakfast Club. I think this post is timely since there are so many YA movies coming out this year. So what did you pick Dear Ems?

I have a lot of time for BR, and hovered over to vote for it, but I had to go with Ferris Bueller. It’s the best of its type, and Broderick just nails the lead.
    As ever, Pete. xxx

It was an OK weekend thanks, Em. After my mid-week birthday I just had a quiet time, out with the dog, and a bit of telly. Not very exciting, I’m afraid…
Feeling alright except for the cloudy eye. If I don’t rollover in bed too fast, I’m keeping the vertigo at a bearable level.xxx

That sounds good to me! I honestly hate being busy all the time, I prefer spending time at home by myself, chilling, doing things that I enjoy. Your birthday sounded really lovely and I’m glad you had a good time! “when I’m 64….!” 🙂

I’m sorry you’re still suffering with the vertigo and cataract. You never moan though and you always seem as upbeat as possible. What happens if you roll over too fast, does it just sweep in then and there? Take care dear Pete!! xxx
