I got this (exact) idea from my fellow blogger Darren who today released a post of five classic movies he’s not yet watched (read his his post here). I thought it was such a cool idea I decided to list ten films and whilst you’re scrolling through likely feeling aghast, confused (and possibly appalled) I just want you to remember that I have seen every Human Centipede movie.
And the Hey Arnold movie.
Twice.
10. Raging Bull

9. ANY James Bond film (the whole way through)

8. Interstellar
7. Back to the Future Part III
6. Frozen
5. The Dark Knight Rises
4. Vertigo

3. Apocalypse Now
2. Suspiria
1. Star Wars (Episode IV: A New Hope)
Yes. Really.

Dark Knight Rises is missable, maybe a one time look and thats it. The Dark Knight with the joker is the only good one. (For obvious reasons)
Im dying to see Suspiria and need to see Raging bull. The others i can wait for or have seen.
Although i grew up watching 007 movies and Pierce brosnan and Sean Connery were probably the best bonds. Daniel Craig is a whole nother bond on his own. But there are a few Bond films worth checking out.
Oh and one more thing, Apocolypse Now is definitely worth watching.

I watched The Dark Knight and I thought it was okay for a fun movie but nothing more really. Everyone going crazy over it just put me off further!
I’m dying to see Suspiria too 🙂 if I watch Raging Bull and Apocalypse Now, then great, but they’re not that far up my watch list.
We’ll have to compare notes on Suspiria when we finally watch it!!! Thanks for the comment 🙂

I’m only a little appalled. You have not seen Vertigo? The perfect movie about obsession. In your humble narrator’s opinion, also the best Hitchcock movie. I’d offer to watch it with you, but there’s that darn Atlantic Ocean in the way. As for Raging Bull, I was not that impressed. I know, I know: Scorsese, DeNiro, all those Oscars. Shows why I’m not a film critic. But, really, the DeNiro-Pesci combo worked better in Goodfellas, I think.

Darn that Atlantic Ocean 🙂
I will definitely watch it one day! I think I may even have it on DVD haha. I’m assuming it’s your favourite Hitchcock? 🙂
Ah the critics and the snobs don’t always know what they’re talking about!! I’d like to see it for DeNiro’s performance I guess but some films you miss the first time and then about a million other films are released and we don’t have enough time!
How are you Tom?

At first I really liked Interstellar, mainly cos it looked so good on a giant IMAX screen. When I watched it on BR tho i could see tons of flaws that I missed the first time around.

Fun post! I can’t understand what all the fuss is about Frozen. It’s lame! I am annoyed with all the marketing for it. Enough already, that I am in the frozen section of the supermarket and there’s Frozen brand peas…..

Let it go, let it go! Sorry couldn’t resist 🙂
Thanks Cindy! I’m glad you enjoyed this. I suppose having never seen Frozen I’m in no position to slate it, but urgh, I just think, nooooooo! I loved the old Disney classics and some of the new Pixar films but it seems so tacky!
Yes exactly! We have enough ‘Frozen’ to deal with in the lead up to Christmas, including those Peter Andre Iceland adverts!!!!! Haha 🙂

I honestly don’t know if people would be more shocked at the movies I haven’t seen or the ones I have – and by “the ones I have seen”, I mean the kind of film that kills some part of your soul in the watching and can never be recovered again.

It wouldn’t shock me Tim, chances are I’ll have watched it too! Try me? 🙂
I could give you a list of the films that have ‘upset’ me the most, put it that way.

You haven’t seen Star Wars–Any of them?! Oh Ems! You must rectify this ASAP! Well, you actually can skip the latest three. They don’t really have anything going for them except Ewan MacGregor. And you’ve got to watch Vertigo! One of my all time favorite Hitchcock movie! Oh! And the Christian Bale Batman trilogy is not to be missed either!

I saw ONE in the cinema and fell asleep, I think it might (might!) have been Attack of the Clones?
I must catch up with Vertigo 🙂 🙂 🙂
