- Instant favourite: Oh yes
- Favourite character: Sergeant Dignam of course. But I did love Billy too!
- What do I love most about it? The story, the excitement and DiCaprio’s performance as Billy Costigan. Plus the opening sequence with Gimme Shelter is so cool.
- Top 10, 50 or 100? This is in my top 10
- Own? Yes, on DVD
- Poorest bit? Ray Winstone’s accent unfortunately. And fans of the original (Infernal Affairs) could find the mobile phones a little lame.

The Departed is my favourite Martin Scorsese movie, alongside Taxi Driver. I think it has a fantastic story, fantastic performances and keeps you on the edge throughout. Leonardo DiCaprio especially is incredible.

I have an obsession with DiCaprio, ask anyone, they will tell you. I love Scorsese, too, and I love this movie. The Departed was damn near perfect in every single way, I loved the cast, the story, the camera work, the score, all of it! Fantastic choice, needless to say! 😉
Plus the usage of Gimme Shelter was PERFECT.

I really like it too but I think I prefer Infernal Affairs. However DiCaprio is fantastic as Billy, you really feel for him
