We ARE twins. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve quoted that line. Just for fun. Even when I’m by myself!!! (in a bit of a dodgy accent!)
I also like it when Anthony says he’s going to grow his hair and Richard says “what like Bon Jovi?” 🙂 (again…dodgy accent)
And yes, I know you love this film. (and I’m glad you love this film!!!)
It’s literally one of my favourite ever movies. Well this and From Dusk till Dawn, they’re my two favourite films!

Ha, this is getting ridiculous now, twin wise. I too quote that line, but probably in a better accent as I’m from the north. The Bon Jovi line too, Yeah!
I’d say this film is easily in my top 50, which may not sound a lot, but I do keep a thorough list. From Dusk ’till Dawn is also in my top 200, so yay!!

I’m pretty good at accents but yeah you do have the advantage of gender and being ‘up north’………what do you say I challenge you to an accent-off?!

Top 50 is actually huge!! Especially as no-one has heard of it except about seven of us. I’m impressed 🙂
From Dusk till Dawn still blows me away to this day. I can talk along with it, that’s how many times I’ve seen it. And I STILL think “wow” when I watch it! Top 200 is very good, I know (I’m learning!) how meticulous you are!!

If you want an accent off sometime I’m game. I can only really do cockney, scouse and I’d need to brush up on my Scottish. I actually struggle doing generic American which should be easy really. I have just typed this whole paragraph in an eastern Bolivian accent though so make of that what you will.
I thought it was a bit more popular than that, but maybe that’s a northern thing again. Have you seen A Room for Romeo Brass? I need to learn Paddy’s dance in that film.
Yeah, I really like it. The first half especially. It’s such a shame that the sequels are absolute bullshit. I don’t even ever want to see the series.

I was only kidding, I think Dead Man’s Shoes is popular enough. It’s just when you’re on something like WordPress with lots of international readers you know some films will be less heard of! Yeah I’ve seen A Room for Romeo Brass, I never really enjoyed it that much. I’ve watched it a few times as I’ve got it on DVD but it’s just not for me! Even with the great thug Frank Harper 🙂
Dead Man’s Shoes is about the only Shane Meadows film I really like. I thought the This is England stuff was alright but pretty cliché and depressing. Though Woody was a great character creation.
Yeah I’ve never bothered with the From Dusk till Dawn sequels, ever!!!! If I want to watch a cut rate film there’s plenty more I’d watch first 🙂
The From Dusk till Dawn TV series was pretty good! I did a review on it actually 🙂 I think when you compare it to most television shows, it was something decent to watch. Robert Rodriguez made it so it wasn’t butchered or anything. It was far closer to the original story than the Fargo TV series was to that film. It was just tweaked really for television. Vampires existed in the every day world not just the Titty Twister, little changes to make it fit with modern TV efforts.

Your Dead Man’s Shoes joke about it being virtually unheard of is pretty long running. You even say it in your review. This shows dedication! I love Romeo Brass, I think it’s one of the funniest films I’ve ever seen. Plenty of quotes there. I really really hated This is England. I thought it was pointless and the story was told in a stupid way.
The From Dusk ’till Dawn sequels should be avoided at all costs. I’m pretty sure Rodriguez directed them. At least one of them. He also directed Spy Kids and shit, so the fact he did the series too never really excited me.

Haha, how did you know I hated Adam Sandler movies?!!! Or is there more freaky twin stuff going on here?? I hate his movies with a passion and I’m not even the sort of person who hates many films.
Do I detect a note of sarcasm?! Damian?!! It’s not a joke as such, I was just kidding about 7 of us having heard of it 🙂 I just mean in terms of something like Prometheus or Inception or Avatar for example, Dead Man’s Shoes is a very little known film. But….in fact better than any of those!
Nah Rodriguez didn’t direct the sequels. He may have had ‘involvement’ but he certainly didn’t direct them or write them. What’s wrong with Spy Kids?!!! SAD FACE! I’m lying, I haven’t seen any Spy Kids movies.
He’s actually one of my favourite directors, I love his sense of fun in movies. They don’t have to make sense, they don’t have to be consistent, but he knows how to make an impact. Planet Terror was soooo good. If I could make any film, it would be a Dusk till Dawn / Planet Terror MAD sort of film! With heavy fucking music and loads of gore and cool characters.
I love The Faculty as well. I wish there were more films like that. Sin City was good but didn’t enjoy the sequel that much. Felt cheap to me.

After reading your awesome review I feel like s**t. I used to think that I’ve watched a lot of movies and there are only a few left to be watched, but CLEARLY I’m very wrong! lol!

There's loads of movies I've never seen. I've never really watched a James Bond movie, nor Star Wars (!) and I've still not seen loads of movies big budget stuff like Interstellar or Gravity. I do tend to watch more low key stuff but then I miss loads of 'big' movies !!!

Dont be silly, I wouldnt say that. I just looked at it after I posted it and thought, to someone that hasnt seen the film, it could look like Im being horrible.
I am defintely due a rewatch of this film. Its sooo good.
